Vespers Jan 24th, 2016

This is the recording from Vespers (With Exposition) on Sunday, January 24th at Our Lady of the Assumption Church in Fairfield, CT.

Instead of the prescribed hymn from the psalter, we used the official hymn of the Jubilee Year of Mercy by Paul Inwood. It is a lovely piece of music that enables prayer on a very deep level. It has a sound reminiscent of Taizé, and as one of our members put it, “it really carves out a sacred space.”

The Antiphons, Responsory and Canticle of Mary are from the Mundelein Psalter (Harmonized by Mr. Cooney), and the psalm tones are Conception Abbey.
